Being non-judgmental and seeing things as they are is called mindfulness.
Through this, I mean seeing without judging what thoughts came to my mind or what emotions I felt.
But most of the time, if I try to do this kind of mindfulness when I'm having a hard time, it can be poison.
Mindfulness of not judging can be a means of analyzing, evaluating, and judging your emotions, so you have to deal with it.
*If you want to be mindful when you are having a hard time, don't look for the reason why you feel hard, just observe*
