Lol AMD does this most of the time. I remember they released the Ryzen 5600X back then before the non X variant. I bought the 5600X instead of the 5600 though as I don't want to update my BIOS and the 5600X is compatible with my motherboard fresh out of the box. The difference between the X and non X variant is very little so if you ever have to buy an AMD CPU go for the non X variant as it's cheaper.
