Lol I think this happened to a lot of people before. Sometimes you will not notice the plastic cover right away that's why they put some notice on the box. If you forget to remove the plastic and then use the CPU cooler, there's a huge chance your processor will overheat like crazy as it blocks the cooler and the processor even if there's thermal paste.
