This car looks so round and weird but the design is futuristic enough back in the day. This car is called the Schlörwagen which was designed by Hans Schlör von Westhofen Dirmstein, an engineer from Germany. I am actually quite surprised this was from the late 1930s. These type of compact and rounded designs were more frequent back in the 1950s.
