Orochimaru is also one of my favorite villains of all time. At first, I didn't really care much for him because I was a bit scared of his looks but now, rewatching the series, I have learned to love certain aspects of his personality, especially his intelligence. The reason why he is considered to be one of the most powerful villains in Naruto is because other than his strength in combat and his powers, Orochimaru is smart enough to have a wide range of research on how best to attack certain ninjas and other scientific breakthroughs. His brain mixed with strength is a recipe for disaster for his opponent.
