Chiyo Sakura confesses to her crush only to learn he's a famous Shoujo manga artist in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. Chiyo becomes Nozaki's assistant after he misinterprets her confession. This leads to antics as they work together and grow closer.
This slice-of-life anime wouldn't stand out today. "Happy for now" isn't as satisfying as "happily ever after" because romance is becoming rarer. Fewer romance anime means more happy endings for fans.
