Deadman Wonderland debuted April 17, 2011. Based on Jinsei Kataoka's manga about a boy falsely accused of murder. This boy goes to a carnival-from-hell prison where prisoners fight and play games. Citizens can watch strange, cruel, and humiliating prison punishments like a zoo.
The anime aired the first 21 chapters of the manga, but no second season was announced. Deadman Wonderland may never return for a second season. Only reading the manga can satisfy fans' obsession.
