Osamu Tezuka is the inspiration for all of the different types and topics of anime that exist today.
The famous anime director impacted subsequent generations with his work, but he also drew inspiration from others.
The Disney films of the time, especially Bambi and the Mickey Mouse shorts, had a significant impact on Tezuka. Astro Boy was his own creation, and he gave him a Disney-inspired aesthetic.
His works gradually took on a "cuter" aesthetic as they developed, eventually giving rise to modern anime.
