Lol I know some games are like this. I've been in this situation a lot of times before. The item equipped doesn't look like it matches your outfit or loadout but it has a good stat you need so you still use it. Then later on as you progress in the game you switch to another item to replace it, which this time might be a good match to your current loadout.
