The Panama Canal over the years

The Panama Canal was made so that it could connect Pacific and North Atlantic. Ships and boats could easily pass through, like how Suez Canal connects Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. Over the years though if you check it out the canal gets bigger and wider.
