Chaff refers to the hull of coffee beans.
So, why do you have to remove this chaff when making coffee?
The part in the red circle is the chaff. It looks like dry chaff.
Of course, it is not harmful to the human body.
But the very simple thing is that if you don't remove the chaff, it can affect the taste of the coffee.
Even so, it is nearly impossible to completely remove chaff from the roasting process.
Another reason is that removing the chaff can clog the spout in hand drips.
In many ways, it would be better to remove the chaff if possible.
