After years of strife, the globe is at peace again. The Shadowverse Battle Academy, or Shadoba Academy, trains people to become professional players.
Zelga Wolfram, founder of Shadoba Academy, asks Tenryuu Light to transfer. Light, a Shadowverse newbie, joins a "Shadoba Club" because of Makabe Subaru. Seven Shadowverse fans form Shadoba Clubs. Light joins "Seventh Flame" by happenstance.
Seventh Flame has one member and may disband. Light, Mitsutagawa Itsuki, head of Seventh Flame, and Subaru look for new club members. Hazeura Haruma, chairman of Shadoba club "First Reaper," is suspicious.
